Introduction to the Souwèr Technique
Senegalese glass painting, known as “souwèr” in Wolof, is a folk art technique in which artists paint upside down on a glass panel.
This workshop is led by Senegalese artist Mbaye Diop. It offers an opportunity to discover or rediscover this folk and naive art form.

Mémoires en mouvement
La prochaine exposition sur La Passerelle réunit les œuvres d’Helena Ťapajnová et Bruna Olivet-Ara autour du thème de la mémoire. Conçu en étroite collaboration avec les artistes, membres de Verarte, le projet met leurs démarches artistiques en dialogue. Ťapajnová et Olivet-Ara explorent le flux des souvenirs et le traduisent à travers les formes, les couleurs et la matérialité du verre.

Esprit moderne : Carlo Scarpa et le vitrail suisse du XXe siècle
Conceived in close collaboration with the Centro Studi del Vetro at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, the exhibition draws parallels between the aesthetic explorations of Carlo Scarpa (1906–1978) in the field of stained glass in Venice during the 1920s and 1930s and the work of outstanding Swiss artists active throughout the 20th century. Scarpa, one of the most important Italian architects and designers of the 20th century, trained in Venice during the interwar period, where he developed the sensitivity to the material and the compositional rigour that would later characterise his work

The museum’s opening hours will change from 1 January 2026:
January to February: 11 am – 4:00 pm
March to September: 11 am – 5:00 pm
October to December: 11 am – 4:00 pm
Closed on Mondays
The Vitrocafé will be open Tuesday to Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., from 14 March to 4 October 2026.
